Baiba Pare. Rainis wins golden medal in international multimedia festival [on the multimedia CD “”, which won golden medal in the category CD-ROM/DVD ROM in the FIAMP 2006] // Kultūras Forums. – pg. 3.

In the international audio visual and multimedia competition FIAMP 2006 (Festival International de l'Audiovisuel et du Multimédia sur le Patrimoine) in Paris at the end of the last year Latvia was represented by Dd laboratory and Dd studio with the co-project – multimedia CD “rainis”, which won golden medal in the category CD-ROM/DVD ROM.

The mentioned disk contains a visual interpretation (playstation games) about fibe works by Rainis – "Ave sol!", "The Beginning and the End", "Joseph and his brothers" and "Fire and Night.

Festival FIAMP 2006 takes place already for five years and is considered a prestigious event in multimedia area with the specialisation in safeguarding and expanding of the cultural heritage. In the competition of this festival take part the companies from the entire world and it requires high professionalism regarding the quality.

Among the winners of the competition is Branlie museum (France), which received the award for 4 digital interactive expositions: America, Asia, Africa and Oceany; Alber Kahn’s Museum (France) for the film Le Banquier, le Maréchal et le Missionnaire; Victoria Museum (Australia) for the web page design of the exposition from the archives -Caught & Coloured: Zoological Illustrations from Colonial Victoria etc.

The awarding ceremony will take place in August in Vienna.
